Child protection

  • The Child Protection team continues to coordinate the delivery of life-saving Child Protection interventions such case management including family focus groups, psychosocial support and child protection outreach activities for the most vulnerable children and their families.
  • TCF continues to support girls with Psychosocial services

Nonfood Items, Food items distribution and Livelihood assistance

  • TCF was invited to a Women’s day dinner where we engaged with the Vice President for youth and gender cluster and the team will be visiting the office to discuss potential collaboration on

Gender based violence and women empowerment

  • TCF signed an MOU with SSHMI South Sudan Health Matters incorporated supported by Rotary Central Melbourne to undertake a project in Menstrual Hygiene Management in Warrap town and Lou Ariik Tonj North Warrap State. The project aims to reduce the number of out of school days due to menstruation for adolescent girls. 9th march 2022

Formal Education

  • TCF has updated its sponsorship list for the 2022 academic year.
  • TCF continued to engage with parents and students through phone calls and interviewing them regularly to understand and find out the difficulties they are undergoing

Informal Education

  • TCF team continues with involvement in the GBV-SC biweekly meetings.
  • TCF held a picnic on 8th march 2022 for special conversations about Gender Equality by reflecting on the history of IWD Internationally and gaining an in-depth understanding of South Sudanese Women’s work during the war and now. TCF Executive Director reiterated the need for unity of women as a critical step for Gender Equality and empowerment. The picnic was also an opportunity to share our work in the education and food security sector.

In celebration of the Women’s Month, the South Sudan Women’s Coalition for Peace in partnership with the British Embassy in Juba, convened a Women Leaders Event – where women gathered to reflect on their successes and contribution to sustainable peacebuilding; inspire each other and contemplate on the challenges that lay ahead. The women vowed to Leave No Woman Behind as they worked towards realizing “Gender Equality Today, for a Sustainable Tomorrow”. With Madam Ayey Madut, the TCF Head of programs, at the panel, TCF fully participated in the celebration of the International Women Day. 24th march 2022.
TCF team attended the launch for Gender Statistics system assessment in South Sudan by the national bureau of statistics in partnership with the UN Women at Juba Grand Hotel on 30th march 2022.
