Child protection

  • The Child Protection team continues to coordinate the delivery of life-saving Child Protection interventions such case management including family focus groups, psychosocial support and child protection outreach activities for the most vulnerable children and their families.

TCF Education

  • TCF has created consent forms for parents whose children are under TCF scholarship. This helps the foundation gain access to passport size photos of the students while informing the parents of the guidelines on TCF scholarship.
  • Fourteen (14) success cards were shared with 14 students who were seating for their Primary Leaving Examination Certificate to wish them success but to also remind them that TCF will always support them.
  • Two (2) are sitting for Senior four
  • Thirteen (13) have sat for Primary eight leaving certificate

Nonfood Items, Food Items distribution and Livelihood assistance

  • In South Sudan, union of people living with disabilities (PLWD) estimates around 250000 south Sudanese. TCF recognizes the added challenge of being a person living with disability in South Sudan and for those unable to access services due to lack of mobility. TCF renders support through availing wheelchairs.
  • Mr. Gau Gau a person living with disabilities (PLWD) in Aweil town received assistance from TCF on the 11th of February 2022. He received a wheelchair which he very well appreciated TCF for the assistance.

Miss Teresa of Aweil North, a person living with disability received assistance rendered to her children through TCF on the 15th of February 2022. Items received were school bags, plastic sheets, school shoes and her tricycle.

Upcoming projects

On the 28th of February, TCF signed an MoU with South Sudan Health Matters Incorporated (SSHMI) with funding support from Rotary Central Melbourne (RCM) to undertake a Sanitation and Hygiene project for school girls promoting school attendance through Menstrual Hygiene Management training in Tonj North of Warrap State. The project is planned for kick off in March 2022.
